Mark McDonald, MS, MD

Mark is a board-certified neurologist with vast experience treating neurological disease, including teleneurology and telestroke. Mark’s real-world teleneurology experience and strong research background have been instrumental in shaping Syntrillo’s vision and overall direction. He sees Syntrillo as an extension of his mission as a neurologist and an opportunity to impact the lives of many more patients than he could solely as a clinician.

Mark completed his medical education at the University of Texas at Houston and his neurology residency at the University of Virginia. Prior to going to medical school, he spent years studying systems neuroscience and the underpinnings of biological intelligence, which led to his interest in AI.

When Mark isn’t at the office, he and his wife can usually be found chasing their three adorable kids around or getting his butt kicked by Keith on the mountain biking trails.
