Kristen Jackson, MA, CCC-SLP, received her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 and her master’s degree in communication disorders from the University of Houston in 2012.
Since finishing graduate school, Kristen has worked at Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation in the inpatient and outpatient settings. She has experience providing evaluation and treatment for cognitive dysfunction, speech and language disorders, voice and dysphagia for patients with various neuropathologies, traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular accident, and polytrauma.
In 2013, Kristen became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist through the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists. Kristen’s main focus is reintegrating adult patients into the community by establishing volunteer positions and assisting them in returning to work. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and serves as a member on the committee for the Young Aphasia Leadership League supporting the Houston Aphasia Recovery Center.
